FRUIT Colouring and shading

Today you are going to draw some fruit.
You will draw light and shadow.

You will need:

• Your sketchpad
• Colour crayons

The apple

STEP 1: First sketch the apple. Draw the outline and main lines.

STEP 2: Then draw a light spot.

STEP 3: Next colour the apple with yellow and light green crayons. Use radial marks.

STEP 4: Then use a dark green crayon to colour the darkest areas.

STEP 5: Then colour the small details like spots and the stem. Colour the shadow with red-purple crayons and a black crayon.

 STEP 6: You can also add a leave on top.

STEP 7: Finally you can colour the background with contrasting colours (complementary colours).

The grape

STEP 1: First sketch the outline of the grape.

STEP 2: Then draw the light spot on the grape surface.

STEP 3: Now colour the grape using a pink crayon.

 STEP 4: Next colour the darkest areas using a purple crayon. Use radial marks.

STEP 5: Then colour the shadow of the grape using a green crayon and then a black one.

STEP 6: Finally you can colour the background with contrasting colours (complementary colours).
