The Cat and the Moon

Today we are going to paint a cat watching the moon.

You will need:

• water paints (watercolurs, poster paints, temperas...)
• a white sheet of paper or your sketchpad.
• a paint brush.
• a pencil.
• a black marker.

1. draw a circle with the pencil.

2. Paint the circle light blue with a lot of water.

3. While still wet add dark blue and purple paint. Let them mix. Then let the picture dry.

4. When dry use your black marker to draw 3 circles. Watch the picture.

5. Add the ears, the whiskers and the tail.

6. Paint the cat black.

7. Draw the brick wall under the cat.

8. Paint the wall orange with a very watery paint.

9. Use less watery red paint to paint each brick in the wall.
